Please help. I need help with the graphics.
So this is what I tried and it's not working.
1. Open blender, make a new file it has a box.
2. I exported the box to .fbx file (No texture, no animation whatsover, just a box)
3. Open IndieStone Nexus Buddy, imported the .fbx file to gr2.
4. Save the "box.gr2" file and also make a default .fxsxml file from IndieStone
5. Open ModBuddy, make a new mod. Call it "New Mod", description: "This is a mod"
6. On IndieStone Nexus Buddy, I exported the "box unit" to the new make mod.
7. Update the Mod
8. On the Solution Explorer, on civ5artdefines_unitmember.xml and civ5artdefines_units.xml. I set "Import into VFS" to true. Also on the "box.gr2" I also check "Import into VFS"
9. I make sure that on the mod the option "Reload Unit System" box checked
10. Clean Solution
11. Rebuild Solution
12. Run Civ 5
13. Mod -> Browse Mod -> Check the box "New Mod"
14. Go back 1 menu, Set Up Game -> Random Civ game -> Start
15. Game start. Click the warrior unit, set to fortify. Other settler unit, I click B to build a city and press Enter.
16. On the city menu, there IS a "box" unit. Cost 1g.
17. Click to build it
18. Click a random research.
19. Click next turn
20. My next turn... the game crashes, when the box unit is about to appear.... (I'm not even sure if the box is going to appear, but it crashes)
I was expecting a "gray" box to appear with no animation. If that happens I would be happy, but no it didn't appear and furthermore the game crashes on me. I am so frustrated with Civ 5 right now. Civ 4 was so easy to mod. I pretty much follow every instruction on the the tutorial by lemmie...What did I do wrong? Please help me.
