Please Insert Correct CD STILL!

I have just updated my game after waiting for a month for the patch to come out and its STILL saying pls insert correct CD.

It isnt cause its the wrong one cause i have seen the info on the mislabling and i am using the right CD.

Splash screen comes up and askes me if i want to PLAY etc and i hit play and it says i got wrong CD in.

Its just so irritating that you buy a game and even after a patch i still cant play the damn thing.

Someone pls help me with this i dont know what to do and ide really like to get what i paid for, so far this has been a total ripoff and im really tainted on buying another Civ game EVER again at this point.

If your using xp right click on the desktop shortcut for the game and select propities.

then click on compatibility across the top.
if the box for run this program in compatibility mode is checked then un check it then click on apply and ok and try the game again.

Same problem with me, but i also did try the comptibilty option, still asking me to Please insert the proper DVD...

Any advise???

Try disabling background apps and deleting temp files on your system

click start,run, type msconfig, click on startup, then disable all,apply then close and restat the comp

Then when its loaded up click start,run, type %temp% then delete everything in that folder.

Try the game again

You could download a no-cd patch as long as you own the game legally.
Just make sure you get the same version of a no-cd patch as your game. Try (www.megagames.com)
