Please somebody help me!!!

I have radeon 9600 and I have problem with "out of video memory" when I play huge earth map! I have instaled patch v1.52 and I turn memorysaver = 1 and after that the game not crush anymore but there is another problem when I turn on memory saver, I must wait about half hour to end of the turn! Is there any other way to solve the problem with "out of memory"??? Please sombody tell me what to do!!!
