Some time ago, I added a suite of Pocket Monster buildings to add some content to the Galactic Era (Artifical Life technology) and create another use for all the animal resources we now have in C2C. I thought it was cute, but other people disagreed, so I spun off all the Pocket Monsters content into a modmod. That way, if you don't like it, you don't have to see it, but if you want it, it's available for download.

Instructions
  • Download the attached ZIP file and unzip it.
  • Place the PocketM folder in your Modules/Vokarya folder. It should work if put into any existing module folder that isn't disabled.

For those who haven't seen it before, this is what is included:

There are four buildings (Pocket Monsters Breeding Center, Pocket Monsters Store, Pocket Monsters Dueling Arena, and Pocket Monsters League Headquarters) and a Pocket Monsters resource. All of this requires Artificial Life technology.

The Pocket Monsters resource ties the whole project together, although I did have a working version without the resource.
Pocket Monsters (Resource)
  • +1 happiness
  • Produced by Pocket Monsters Breeding Facility
  • Required to build Pocket Monsters Store, Pocket Monsters Dueling Arena

You get Pocket Monsters by building a Pocket Monsters Breeding Center, or trading with someone else who has built one.
Pocket Monsters Breeding Center (National Wonder, requires Cloning Laboratory)
  • 3 Pocket Monsters Resources
  • +3% Science per animal resource

Possession of Pocket Monsters unlocks two buildings: the Store and the Dueling Arena.
Pocket Monsters Store (requires Pocket Monsters, requires Mall or Shopping District or Hypermarket)
  • +2% gold per animal resource
Pocket Monsters Dueling Arena (requires Pocket Monsters)
  • +2 happiness
  • +2% culture per animal resource

Finally, there is the League HQ capstone to the line.
Pocket Monsters League Headquarters (World Wonder, requires 8 Pocket Monsters Dueling Arenas)
  • +1 happiness from Pocket Monsters Store
  • +3 happiness from Pocket Monsters Dueling Arena
  • +2 XP to all new military units
I'll be updating this if new animal resources come out.

Update:
To keep this component in line with the new currently increased costs for buildings, all building costs have been increased:
  • Pocket Monsters Breeding Center = 24000 hammers
  • Pocket Monsters Store = 8000 hammers
  • Pocket Monsters Dueling Arena = 8000 hammers
  • Pocket Monsters League Headquarters = 62000 hammers

  4. Event idea : "Cheating during an International Pocket Monsters Duel". Require : Pocket Monsters League Headquarters built, you and another civs have Pocket Monsters. Th champion of another civ cheat against the cmpion of yout civChoice :
    • Dont care... +2 :c5angry: in all city
    • Official reclamation: -1 relation with the other civ
    • (Require having Pocket Monsters League Headquarters) Force rematch without cheating. +1 :) in all city, -3 relation with the other civ
    • (Require Power - Pocket Monster Masters Civics) Declare war against the other civ, +1 :) in all city, -50% :c5angry: from war for x turns
 
I like this. Anything that adds content to the future areas is welcome for me, as it is quite boring to go through the more or less empty timeline. And increasing research then is even better.
But for me it somehow doesn´t feel right if I quit a game before reaching a spaceship or scientific win. I know that I can be stupid at times :p ...

It was already in the game since lto of version, they remove it from the actual game because only occidental things are allow for future era.
 
I still think it could (and should!) be in the main mod, but renamed to "Customized Animals" or "designed animals" or such. The TH Era is quite empty at the moment and I am pretty sure designed animals will be a future-trend...
Also, you dont need to limit it to fighting, you can have designed animal show contests, make them to give bonus to pet-shops, to circus or zoo. They could also be used in war or in civil issues (like crime fighting, rescuing people after earthquakes...), but I think at the time you have artificial life your robots are so good developed that you wont use animals for suchs purposes.
 
Update
I increased all of the building costs in line with the increases applied to other Medieval and later buildings.
