So I had my powder maker destroyed after I researched Riflemen but before I researched WW1 Recon units. So I was stuck in a situations where I could not build a powder maker since it was discontinued so I was unable to make ANY recon units (Light infantry who use black powder) until I researched WW1 recon who use firearms which are much later in the tech tree.
It was annoying and made for a strange situation. Since I produced so many Riflemen they got very expensive and I wanted to make some light infantry since they were so much cheaper but I could not. Perhaps if powder maker was discontinued later in the tech tree this would not happen.
Luckily I had steel to make firearms but If I had no steel I would have been completely screwed since I could not rebuild my black powder mill.
