Possible to Make Terrain more Uniform?

Anyone else want more uniform terrain? Every random map i create - has patches of desert next to grassland .. it seems like theres little bits of desert all over the place...

I'm absolutely certain that if you study the map creation scripts this is doable

It is, but it takes some knowledge of how Python works. It's not as simple as plugging numbers into XML.

I agree, the random terrain generation is definitely a pain in the rear- hard to find good city locations. This would definitely be worth doing.

I've seen deserts 2 tiles from tundra. I would like a fix for this as well.

So do parts of Russia (just north of Kazakhstan)
