I bought months ago a CD version of WinCiv released by Microprose in 1997. I play always with 'IBM sounds' option (the 2nd option in the list) or 'No sound please' option (the 1st) because the Sound Blaster doesn't work (simply.. no sounds!).
Can someone help me?
I found on web a "civsound" patch released by MPS in 1994, with which I can configure a <XSOUND.CVL> file (the file used by 'Custom sound driver' option, the 6th option in the list), but it doesn't work.. again no sounds.. I think this patch is obsolete.. and I think the WinCiv 1997 version is a little obsolete too
do you know I can solve this problem?
