I have tried to install the game and run it but it fails. I have found a step by step help at http://www.2kgames.com/civ4/support_ati.htm where I am told to completely remove my ATI drivers using the "add/remove programs" and the "ATI uninstall utility". However, "ATI uninstall utility" doesn't show if you have X800XT and I am told to go to https://support.ati.com/ics/support/default.asp?deptID=894&task=knowledge&folderID=27 and follow the instructions. There are no instructions on how to remove the drivers manually. I get the information that their engineers don't know why this utility doesn't show but there are no instructions on how to remove them manually.
I live in Sweden and the game came out today, November 4th. I am very eager to play the game and it doesn't work. I have opened a bottle of wine just to comfort myself but now I am thinking about pouring it into my computer just to see some smoke. I need help!
