Ok, its been about 2 years since I played it when it first came out, but I had some pretty big problems with it and was wondering if these had been fixxed.
The original colonization was MUCH easier to play and win, but I found some very limiting factors in the new one.
The first problem is my biggest for when it comes to building an army and what not.
The Foreign powers give me diddly for things like Cigars, Rum, all the high end trade items. My best bet to make money in the new world is to have a colony specializing in each manufactured good and silver, and trade with the old world at their eventually high taxes. Indians give you decent return for the first couple trades, but eventually they refuse to buy from you at a worthwhile price.
Small complaint, but no fountain of Youth hurts my early game.
The Sound Track is nowhere near as good as the Originals. Is there a mod for the old soundtrack into the new game?
I shelved the game for the last 2 years because I thought it was seriously lacking for anyone who played the original, has anyone found these problems to still be persistent 2 years later?
