Program-Type Problems.

I use a Macintosh. OS X.

I have re-installed Civ II Gold and wish to know how to change the Units.PICT Simpletext picture into a jpeg or gif; I've tried everything without success (I have some custom-units I wish to add, and Simpletext does not allow ANY sort of copying/editing/pasting, it seems).

I actually have some bare knowledge on editing and converting, but this is baffling me. Can anyone help? Or even give me a gif/jpeg version of the default units pic I can try to use from there?

I dont know anything about MAC but I have had the same problem making scenarios and the only thing I found to work without the game crashing is putting the units into a 256 bitmap image. That works for me. When I put them in gif's or jpeg's the game crashes on me.

i guess that is why the call it "simpletext"
whenever i use bmp', all my units are invisible
