Alright guys, this is the very first alpha! Go easy on me :p

The DOM Screen totally has a placeholder in it, and the leaderhead for them is also a placeholder. Waiting on art for the leaderhead.

If you're interested in contributing to this, PLEASE drop by this thread and say something!

    • Now :c5moves: faster along river tiles [buff]

How did you apply this to only one unit? I've never been able to figure out how.

It actually seems broken, but I gave him double moves across the fake feature River. Apparently double moves on fake features doesn't work?

Code:
<UnitPromotions_Features>
		<Row>
			<PromotionType>PROMOTION_VULTURE_MOVEMENT</PromotionType>
			<FeatureType>FEATURE_RIVER</FeatureType>
			<DoubleMove>true</DoubleMove>
		</Row>
	</UnitPromotions_Features>

Also, the update is going to be pushed back a bit more. I've found a few text entries that I've left out and want to put in on this update. Also, it's a clever cover for me trying to get the double moves working.

Version 2 cancelled, Version 3 coming within the next few days. Will retain changes from Version 2 unless specified.

Version 3 Changelist
  • Vulture Changes [rework]
    • Double :c5moves: Movement near rivers :c5razing: scrapped[nerf]
    • Suffers no :c5strength: combat penalty when attacking across rivers[buff]
  • Text Changes
    • Added diplomacy responses for Eannatum

Version 3's out!

I'm going to try it out soon. Version 3 seems to be balanced pretty well! I'm only worried about the Vultures losing their combat bonus. It really makes them obsolete very quickly (Swordsmen are still stronger). But I'll see how it looks like in game. :)

I was using Tomatekh's Sumer previously, it is a very reliable civ. But I really like the differences.

I've been kicking around keeping it. Keep in mind that they do keep their no river penalty.

It's worth noting that their trait scales HARD into late game. Like, I was playing against eannatum and I discover his territory and it's like

Haha, that was a good one! :D It seems I forgot about the trait, really. I've seen the Vulture keep their no penalty for rivers and realised they are designed for early rush. Your Sumer will be my next pick to try out.

Version 4 Planned Changes

New Religion Choice - Inimdug
Color Icon Added for Vulture
New Alpha Icon for Vulture

More to be added as feedback comes in.

Another thing I haven't thought about, is just how strong pottery will be in Deity games. Makes getting Great Library doable before turn 30. Or if you want to go religion, getting that Stonehenge by 40.
