AI commit colective suicide, cause world contain only mountains.
How AI already know whole world map in first turn?

Great point!! :goodjob:

Very good deduction deer Watson !!! And they still want to pay for our world map hahahah its too crazy:crazyeye:

Remember what I told you four months about Settler Diarrhea?

The stupid settler/foot soldier combo marches into my territory. The AI is so dumb it does this even when at war with me - a bug Firaxis won't fix. So I destroy them over and over again.

When NOT at war they just keep coming in even though I twice ordered them to get out. If I attack them I am a "warmonger" forever.

Third turn it is "declare war or get out" time. So the AI settler combo magically teleports themselves to the OTHER side of my civ may a dozen tiles away onto open tiles THEY SHOULD NOT EVEN KNOW EXIST.

As far as I'm concerned that was proof positive the AI cheats and sees the entire map right from the get go. :(

The AI is crazy, stupid, and cheats.

Is this news to anyone really?

Hasn't it been obvious since game release, when enemy transports would show up at the ONE weak spot on the far side of your country? Or exploit to the one undefended position well inside your lines? Not only do they know the map, they know your garrisons as well. Total cheat.

I want a hard AI. I don't want a stupid AI that cheats. Each AI Civ should have it's own map and database algorithm that determines where it moves settlers and units for attack. It should not get free knowledge of anything, rather have AI scripts that parse what they do know the best they can. Is that hard? Sure. But not remotely impossible. And frankly, if you want to make TBS games go to the next level, you're gonna have to start sometime, why not with the flagship of TBS games?

How is this a "bug"? I do the samething, trailing settlers to war areas (whether I am one of the combatants or not) to take advantage of opened areas. It's called strategy.

The only thing wrong is that it protects the settler with only one mil unit in war zones.

the bug is that they send settlers into your territory when you are at war with them.
it not really a bug, just the ai isnt that smart.

The AI settlers, after taking three turns to leave, magically teleport themselves to the other side of my civ a dozen or more tiles away onto open tiles they should not even know exist.

If Firaxis PLANNED this it is not technically a "bug" - but it is an outrageous cheat the makes a mockery of game rules.

And the same goes for how it drops setlers on my coast when some tiles open up - but when I go to autosave and put some units on those tiles the transport never shows up. Another outrageoys annoying cheat.

Oh. I raze a city to prevent the crazy flipping stuff. Tiles open up.

Immediately the AI civ I am at war with sends a settler/foor soldier team heading towards those tiles. The fact that I have a couple of stacks of a dozen units each (in this case mostly knights) right there doesn't deter them. Of course they get destroyed and I pick up two free workers. The civ does it again. Same result. Third time. I now have six free workers. At that point it was so boring and dumb I gave up on the game. I am also convinced the AI gets feeebie settlers.

Not a "bug"? If Firaxis considers this normal and acceptable they are more out of it than I thought. Ireported it as a bug two patches ago and they won't fix it. I guess they do think it's normal. :crazyeye:

I don't consider it a 'bug' per se, but it indicates just how hard coded land whoring is in the AI brain. If there is a free square, it will try to settle on it. The 'bug' is in sending it without proper defense...

P.S. The early, ridiculous land whoring tests my patience to breaking in the early game...I guess the solution to ICS was to invent a better ICS AI...
