PTW Expansion

I have the original Civ III from when it first came out. I want to play scenarios and online but want to know what to do exactly. Just buy the expansion and install or do I need any patches or downloads? Also how do the online games work, in real time, or turn based like an email game (ie one person logs on plays their turn and two days later your opponent logs on and plays their turn and so on)?

All you have to do is install PTW and the scenarios come with it. Although you can just download the scenarios from here and not buy it. You will need to download the patches to have it work right. To play online, you'll need to install the Gamespy program. Forget what it is called at the moment. Just go to Gamespy and find it. From there once it is installed, you go and find PTW games, and join one. An easy way to play with people is too organize one over here in the Multiplayer forums.
