PtW forces me to reboot on exit

PtW gobbles up so many resources, and refuses to let go of them at exit, that I need to reboot when leaving the game.

I'm using the UK patch 1.14f

Does anyone have a fix? Or experience this behaviour too?

I find it quite unacceptable.

I checked and found that PtW uses up a lot of system and user resources, but resets GDI resources ad memory upon exit.

I'd really love to find out how I can get my money's worth from this game. Or at least if no others have experienced this. I'm using Win98 SE and a Creative 32M TNT2 graphics card
