The Golden Age trigger scans for wonders, everytime you complete a wonder yourself. So, if you conquer a dozen, nothing happens. At the moment you finish a wonder yourself, the trigger checks all wonders you have at that moment, and a GA will start if both your traits are covered.

The Pyramids and GW aren't the only ones with "appropriate" traits. To me it looks like Firaxis put some thought into this...

No, Capt Buttkick is correct. The Internet has all traits attached to it, so building it will trigger a golden age for any civ (if you haven't already had one).

Knights Templar is somewhat appropriate for Japan if they somehow changed it to something more vague. I like what they called the Ancient Cavalry, though.

Many civs, if not all of them, can get their GA with only one Wonder:
SOZ does it by itself for Japan.
The Mausoleum does it for Byzance.
Colossus for England.
Etc.

As Egypt, I avoid the Great Pyramid (it gives me my GA too early!) and instead build Great Wall and Sistine Chapel (or JS Bach Cathedral) to get a late-MA to early Industrial GA: infinately more useful...

I thought the implementation was that you needed to have all your traits covered?
So if you mod the game so that civs have 3 traits, you'd need to cover all 3 traits (which, of course, could still be covered by a single wonder in some cases).
Modders' input?

Tricky answer to that one. You just have to own them, even through conquest, however you don't get a GA until building a wonder yourself. What happens is whenever you build a wonder the game looks at all your wonders to see if you have the appropriate traits for a GA. It doesn't check after you capture one.
