Python Tutorial and Editor

Hi, I'm new to the this forum and I'm very inteterested in making game customizations. I have some experience in programming (including some stuff in OO programming), but not with python. Are there any recommendations for python tutorials and syntax editors?

www.python.org. Just look at the documentation. There's a tutorial there.
