I have created a mod for the Republic of Texas with Leaders of Sam Houston (AGRESSIVE, INDUSTRIOUS) and Stephen Austin (CREATIVE, EXPANSIVE), the Texas flag, and a UU of Texas Ranger (replaces cavalry, as calvary but ignores terrain movement cost), Added a list of cities (removed duplicates from america list so Dallas etc are Texas only). All of this works fine, but to really complete my mod, I want to add the following.
1. Replace Heroic Epic with The Alamo (same bonuses, this civ only).
2. Replace National Epic with San Jacinto Battlefield (same bonuses, this civ only).
3. Chisolm Trail (National Project) requires Railroad + Horseback Riding
Grants free Great Trader. +25% trade (city), +2 Culture, Can Build Stockyard.
4. Stockyard (City Improvement)+25% trade, +1 health from cow, sheep, pig requires Chisolm Trail.
My question is, if I create the proper xml entries for these objects' creation, can I then use the civilization xml building area to deny/enable specific buildings for each civ. Also, I would appreciate any feedback about the bonuses listed as to whether they are too high, or should be changed.
As to why Texas, I grew up there and it was an independent country for a few years, plus I think the scale of civ IV works better with the US being broken down into states, puts it in better perspective with Europe.
Any input appreciated.
