Since its very hard to get a few of you guys to do some speciality mods for a minority, i figured the only way to get a feature i want is to learn python myself, no ? :)

So the question is, is learning python, within the scope of Civ4, hard or "easy"?

I have some prior experience with C++ but only doing simple Dos programming. If/or/while etc... things like that - nothing to complex. And that was about 5 years ago.

If it would be rather simple to learn within a matter of weeks or months (again, only to program simple routines for Civ4, nothing more), could someone recommend a few good books?

thanks :)

Mattpilot, what do you mean its very hard for us to do speciality mods??? What do you need?

As for learning python, there is always python.org and all of the tuts here.
Honestly, I learned python in about 2-3 days, then of course, I am a software architect by profession.
