Question about modding ^^

Before I even bothered asking this question I used Search and skipped through like 10 pages and didn't find anything! Might also have been cause some titles are still so cryptic for me.

Incase you haven't noticed, I'm new!


On to the question!


Is there a way to remove/lower unhappiness in cities?

You should edit this file:

C:\Program Files\Firaxis Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 4\Beyond the Sword\Assets\XML\GameInfo\CIV4HandicapInfo.xml

Copy that file, move it here:

C:\Documents and Settings\[Your Name]\My Documents\My Games\Beyond the Sword\CustomAssets\xml\gameinfo\CIV4HandicapInfo.xml

Then for each difficulty level, edit this tag:
<iHappyBonus>6</iHappyBonus>

The higher the number the less unhappiness.
