Quick question about Reliquary enhancer belief?

I'm going for a diplomatic victory with Sweden. First time I've ever played Sweden, and I intend to make full use of the ability to gift city states great people. But my question is, does gifting a great person count as expending it, and thus, do you get 50 faith from doing it with the Reliquary enhancer belief? Yeah I know there are probably better enhancer beliefs for a diplomatic victory (Religious Unity comes to mind), but I want to know whether or not Reliquary is completely useless if I plan on giving away most of my great people in the later game. Do I still get the 50 faith? Thanks.

The answer is no. A gifted GP is not an expended one.

You should pick up Messiah instead. You can spread three times and then gift the Prophet and get the full benefit.
