This relates to the Baba Yetu and Coronation Downloads that are currently on the main page. Every time i click either one to download, it opens up a new window with a little quicktime symbol and plays a 4 second clip from whatever i was trying to download. Now i want the whole song. I use firefox 1.5 and it doesnt seem to work in that but in IE it gives me the whole clip, which i still unfortunately cant download, but at least i ca hear the whole thing. Anyways, is there any way to make sure quicktime doesnt take over mp3's? This may have something to do with the fact that i assigned all my mp3's to open with i tunes but i shall have to check..

what do you mean? I dont click the "open" button, i click the actual link and it sends me to a page with the quicktime player...

usually quicktime starts playing after it has a bunch buffered (10 secs or so), so after it has played the buffered part and the next part isn't available yet it stops and doesn't resume. You should, however, see the progressbar grow as long as it's downloading, so after it's complete you can stop and restart the movie (at least that's how it worked for me)

no, see the process bar is full..! The whole clip overall is like 3 sec's so thats not the problem.. The problem is that when i should get an option to download, it instead playis it in a player thats embedded in the page. Let me see if I can post a pic

What that shows is the progress bar after 2 seconds

what if you make winamp your default mp3-handler? (in options -> preferences -> General Preferences -> Filetypes?

should be somewhat similar in Windows Media Player...

or you could try a rightclick on the link and select "save target as..." which would download the clip
