Random attacks.

Sometimes the AI attacks for no reason. I mean, i never even did any thing to anger them. Is there a problem?

Have you never attacked the AI for no reason (other than you wanted their land or resources)? It can work both ways.

Usually there's a reason. Like maybe you're sitting on a resource they want. Or a resource they want, which you can't see yet (w/o researching the tech). Or a lux they want. Or for past transgressions. Or because they fear you're growing too powerful. Or because your military seems weak.

Sometimes it's because you're too weak and they just want to bump you off.

Of course, sometimes it does seem like they're attking you for no reason.

There's a big big reason to attack other civ:

I need a Leader!!

Maybe the computer gets bored once in a while.

That is often a reason why I attack.

I love it when they do that, it makes my people happy. It also give me something to start a world war.
