Rant--anyone agree?

That's it I have had enough of this! What the hell is wrong with this game? It's been over a week now since I've bought it and I have not been able to play. I'm getting sick of this. THE LAG IS TOO EXTREME and i have no clue why. My opening intro skips and the game lags beyond play. WTH!? I have over the recommended stats! I DON'T UNDERSTAND! I bought this game to play so people who want to say stop crying blah blah blah or take the game back blah blah blah can jus . You're just saying that because you can play the game. Congrats you lucky . Don't tell me not to be mad or upset because I can't. I'm sure if you couldn't play the game it would be a different story. I can play every other game out there right now including doom 3, quake 4, WoW, and halflife 2! WTH why can't I play Civ 4? I have been able to play every other CIV on terrible computers and now I can't play CIV 4 on a pretty good computer?! wth! This is so stupid and why haven't they said anything about the rampant lag? I have it at the beginning of the game. Some people, including my roommate, doesn't get it till the end of the game. WHAT IS GOING ON? Why can't you guys either patch it or tell us you realize this is happening and that you're working on a fix? No all I see are great reviews on game review sites. That's all you guys are pointing out on the offical website on the news on Civfanatics and everywhere else! I'm sure it is a great game if you can play it! Seriously! I want to write a review on how great this game is....but I can't! FIX MY GAME. I can't play it on anysetting without lag....on some smaller maps I can play smooth for a few turns then lag takes over. I tried everything. I tweaked everything. I SHOULDN'T HAVE TO TWEAK ANYTHING! I should be able to play it on the highest settings on the Largest map without any problems! THIS IS I just reinstalled Civ 3 because as far as I'm concerned it's better right now cause I can play it. FIX IT FRAXIS! Inform us you know of the problem. I paid about 100 dollars for two copies, one for me and my girlfriend. I expect them to work soon and I do have the right to demend this. I almost feel like contacing the BBB!

Yeah I agree. I personally didn't buy this game because I though it would work. My whole purpose in buying games isn't because they work, it's because they look good, fun to play and interesting. It's expected that they work because if they don't it's called an unfinished product. How much money would ford make if it sold brand new vehicles that would run, but would stuter and miss, that would bog down and not go any faster than 10 or 15 miles an hour? None.

Yeah sure take the game back, that will fix the problem, then I'll be able to play the game and it will work just the way it should right? Oh... No... it won't. WTH were these people thinking when they did this? I wonder if they just assumed that everyone had the exact same pc's that they used to design this on, cause it sure seems to me that they did about zero research on hardware variables.

I dont even think you can return it. Who is gonna give you a refund on a open PC game? I dont really WANT to return it. But step 1 (uninstalling) and Step 2 (back in the box) as well as step 3 (in the bag and bill of sales found), have been processed. All i have to do now is make the trip. Im still holding out. If i dont get a patch by tommorrow, ill probably throw up a thread for a last ditch effort for at lest a response to when the problem will be resolved. If not, ill probably give it till Sunday and then ill return it.

Seriously this is argueably the sloppiest release ever. Its shameful and i cant even believe you guys are sleeping at night. The game is so servely broken youd think you guys would be crackin it all night long all week long trying to work out a fix. At lest thats what a decent company would do. But someone squated over our retail shelves and dropped this steamy duece on us. WHatever, yea it makes you look bad, but rather then clean it up, it feels like you guys are just sitting back and letting it fester. Which makes you guys look unprofessional and terrible. Ive said it before, i cant blame you guys for having this game hit the shelves in this state, cause whos to say whos decesion it was to push this out the door anyway? But its hard not to be a little annoyed with you guys for not fixing it regardless.

After the last 5 years I realized my opinion on this matter was woefully inadequate and as such have repudiated it.
