i cant use rar files i dont know what the problem is i have winrar but i still cant use them, any suggestions?

Well, do you unrar that file before you use them?

What do you mean you can't use them? Does the rar file just show up as a blank icon or can you not un pack the rar?

Well, you could just start up winrar, select File>Open Arcive, and find and open the rar. file. Also, when your in winrar, select Options/tools and select settings (or whatever im translating from norwegian) The one with the keyboard shortcut Ctrl+S......
Select the one on the far right and youl get a list of file types associasted with winrar, make sure .rar is checked.

oh. It just looks like you have rar files being opened by wordpad. All you have to do is open a folder and in the menu go to Tools--->Folder options---->file types and deleted the rar file type. The next time you double click on a rar file it will open up a windows that will give you a list of programs to choose from. Choosr winrar from the list.
