When you rate a thread, it says thank you for adding your vote.

However I noticed it doen't seem to add to any votes (for your own view), instead it displays what you voted.

I'd like to see the general vote after I vote. Is that possible?

The ratings are only available in certain subforums. Check some of the Civ 3 Creation & Customization subforums, I know that ratings are enabled there.

I believe that it does show the average vote, though. Mebbe your vote just happened to be the same as the average vote?

Often there will be no vote, or if I vote something drastically differant, it will show my vote. Like, if it's rated at 2 stars, and I rate it 5, it will be 5.

My experience seems to show otherwise. There was a thread rated one star, I rated it five, and it was rated three. Odd.

Maybe an average was taken? After all: (1+5)/2 = 3
Maybe the thread had had only one vote before you voted?

Yeah, it's probably an average, but what D&G was saying is that it displays the average on his computer (which is probably what it should do), instead of displaying his vote alone, like what Hygro said.

I think I'll go rate a thread and see what happens...

Edit: I rated a thread (by giving the Risk mod a 5; it had a 3-vote-average of 2 beforehand), and it displayed the average (3).
