POLLUTION IS RAMPANT!!!!

We need Recycling plants in all major polluting cities.

"A polluted square is a wasted square"

And our valuble grasslands are starting to turn into plains, and even desert!

It's true and we need to fight it. Recycling Centers and transit sytems are needed. Governers pay heed to this.

I aggree with Falcon02 on this idea. We should control this rampid pollution

I suggest building Pollution reducing improvements immediately (unless the current item is too important, then it would go next in queue) in cities with 5 or more Pollution.

interesting Idea Octavian, but a Factory doesn't always make a city a bad polluter, neither does population. I've seen Metros without Mass Transit, with only 2-3 pollution before, IIRC. I think polluting improvements kinda amplify the pop effects, unless I'm mistaken.

Yes, we should construct metros in the metros :D

In real life, I'm no tree hugger, but I believe every practical way of reducing pollution should be persued by the large masses.

But, in Civilization I hate it with a passion, cause not only does it have long term effects of global warming, but it makes squares unusable till cleaned up and wastes workers on cleanup operations.

EDIT: please don't turn this into a political argument.

I understand, Falcon. I'm not a tree hugger, either. In this game, I do hate the pollution, so we are actually on the same page.

I've compiled a list of cities that have pollution, from light to problematic. Once it gets past 10, it gets harder to count the pollution. :)

Pollution
light = 1-4
minimal = 5-7
heavy = 8-11
widespread = (estimated) 12-20
Problematic = (estimated) 20+

Memphis (widespread - near problematic)
Salamanca (widespread)
San Fransisco (widespread)
Byblos (widespread)
St. Regis (widespread)
Abydos (widespread)

Boston (heavy)
Cumae (heavy)

Mokra (minimal)
Eyr (minimal)
Heliopolis (minimal)
Allegheny (minimal)
Shailonegha (minimal)
Elephantine (minimal)
Philadelphia (minimal)
Khatovar (minimal)
Alexandria (minimal)
Cyrus (minimal)
Malinalco (minimal)
Xinjiang (minimal)
Herakleia (minimal)
Port Gisnod (minimal)
Asyut (minimal)
Callisto (minimal)
NFH (minimal)
El-Amarna (minimal)
Miami (minimal)

Fox Nest (light)
Valhall (light)
Thebes (light)
Sparta (light)
New York (light)
Oil Springs (light)
PDX (light)
Delphi (light)
Atlanta (light)
Seattle (light)
Civantoria (light)
Hangchow (light)
Pherris (light)
CSIM (light)
Seantoria (light)
Chie (light)
Chondote (light)

I say all Yellow, Orange, and Red Cities should build anti Pollution buildings
