Recycling GOTM

I play most GOTMs and get trashed at later and later points along the timetrack, so they're working. However, I have this nagging thought that, "here's a great mod/scenario, can I use it again?"

For example, it would be great to use the same GOTM, including all the units, etc., and change the world parameters, player civ, and difficulty level. Any possibility?

It is possible, but you'll need the assistance of the GOTM crew. If you contact them and let them know the specifics of what you're looking for, they may be able to do it; like say, change the map, or play as another civ in a past GOTM. It can be done, IIRC.
