Reloaded Game have major unhappiness issues

I was playing the Into the Renaissance scenario for 100 turns and was at about +12 happiness. I saved the game and when I reloaded the happiness was at -18. I looked back in the all the auto saves I have (back to turn 55) and they are showing the same problem. I was running + happiness the whole time. (I eliminated England at turn 44 so that may be related to the bug or not.)

I played yesterday with the same settings (Celts, Historic, Emperor) and the saves from yesterday through all 200 turns are still OK.

The initial save from today's game, turn 0, shows normal happiness. (+2)

I have the latest level (10.0.2.13) and I have auto update on so I believe I was running with the same level of code yesterday as am I today.

Attached is the save with the bug in it.

Is anyone else seeing this problem or am I just the lucky one?

I spent 4 hours getting to this point, was doing pretty well and now I can't continue. Arggg!!!!!!!!!! :mad:

Is there a manual way to recover the saves?

Thanks for the pointer.

I guess I wasn't really paying attention if I was being asked about the captured cities or not. I had only captured 3 cities so this could be the same bug. That must be why I thought I was doing so well :D.

I'll have to start over again and see if I can repro it from the initial save.

I can only find few threads on this, and most get pointed to the issue around captured cities automatically being annexed without being asked. Im not sure why these two particular issues should be related?

When I saved my game I had about +95 in happiness, when I loaded my game today I now have -90 Unhappy people...

When looking at The Total overview, I can see my Social Policies count for 0 happiness...

There must be more gamers who's tried this?

It's because auto-annexed cities (one bug) don't have any unhappiness (another bug). Reloaing the game causes a recomputation of happiness to the correct amount, which is now much lower.
