Sorry for my english. It's not as bad as Bush (eh, i known how read a children book !), but it's not my born language, and at the school my better result in English is a beautifull 5 (on 20 !)
I remember entire part of my games at Civ 1. Delicious moments.
With Civ II, nope. I don't know why.
But i remember one thing : The monsters, in the extension.
I took the monsters. And i create a mod : Monster Civ.
It was a funny mod.
But you know what was the most funny ?
Barbarians !
Barbarian are the blue Hydra.
With 2 in move.
With no attack.
But with 12 in defense !
Understand ?
Each time a unit walk on a goodie hut, 8 blue hydra barbarians pop up !
Peacefull blue hydra barbarian : With no attack, they don't dare attack anyone.
But they act as barbarian.
Imagine : You work hard on you terrain improvement, relie cities with road, make irrigation on plains, and mines on hills. Hard work. Long work.
And, sudendly, a HORDE or 8, 16 or perhaps 24 blue hydra barbarian SWARM your land, and begin to pick a good place (usually around you best cities), and sleep. Forever.
Armies of peacefull near invincible beast sleep AROUND your cities. Sometimes, you can't even go out units (or use flying units, who aren't very powefull before a time)...
Remember, the Hydra War. Lot of laughts, for me.
