Renaming units or cities

Hello. Since a few days, I can't rename any units or cities anymore. I think this is because I downloaded a mod which the game wouldn't load (with Advanced -> Load a Mod or something), and thus I manually replaced the original files with those of the mod. I did back them up though. The game then didn't load at all, so I removed the mod and put the back up files back in their place. I guess I probably removed a back up file or something. I have Beyond the Sword with the latest patch, and would be gratefull if anyone could provide me with the file(s) necessary to rename units and cities, and where to put them.

It also seems that, when I have researched a technology, I doesn't popup and read things like 'If you chase 2 rabbids, you'll lose them both.'. Wonders als odon't popup anymore and show a nice video when I've built them. Does anyone know which files I'll need to fix these things, and if yes, can someone upload them?

It's against the forum rules to post original game files, so unfortunately your best bet is to reinstall.
