Request for Smaller World Map

Since Civ IV is so hard to run, my game slows down far too much on the Ryles map by around 1100.

Is anyone working on a smaller Earth map wwith starting correct positions?

A smaller one would probably have to make Europe a little over sized and/or give it exceptional resources.

I would do it myself but I find the tools less uder friendly and my system is always straining which makes things more annoying.

You will see this as one of the first map mods I say.

From what I understand - scanning a real life territory into the game is easy, fiddling around with resources and the little touches is what takes time.

I was worried the Earth map would be too small to be fun - but the reassurances that its freaking huge have been good. So I am in the other camp.
