Request: Stripping the gloss mod

Can someone make a mod that gets rid of that blue/red/etc. border on the... back? of the main screen and the fuzzy effect? I'd love stratview but I'll take getting rid of those as a good start. I know the fuzz can be killed in a text file but not everyone knows how to do that and I'll bet there's someone else out there who hates not seeing things like they should because of "artistic direction" as much as I do.
