Resignation: FA Leader

I am resigning my position as FA leader for the rest of this term, so that I can focus more on establishing order in these forums. I may run for this post in the upcoming elections, depending on the state of the forum.

Feodor Argent is now FA leader, and cheetah is deputy.

Are you resigning for the next three days or sitting out for all of Term 7?

Either way, this will be a great loss for Fanatika, as the FA department has been run flawlessly for quite some time. However, I have the utmost confidence in your successor, Feodor Ardent, and feel it is a shame that he will only be able to run for one office due to his three-day takeover.

I would love to stay on as FA leader, but there has been some questions regarding my ability to moderate effectively that need to be resolved. I will most likely resume my post if the citizens wish it at the beginning of the next term. However, I need to speak purely as a moderator for a few days to straighten some things out.

Maybe ask the judiciary to review whether Feodor can run for more than one office, since he will only be FA leader for a few days. Maybe, Feodor could also resign as leader, and allow cheetah to take over...of course, maybe cheetah also wants to run for two positions. I apologize to those this may inconvenience, but I feel it is necessary at this time.

I think this could be more effectively carried out if you remianed FA leader, but authorized Feodor to carry out the duties of the office. Otherwise, there is no legal way to get around it. I would not have any objections if you used your power as mod to allow Feodor to bend the rules this once, also.

I was considering the same thing. One of the main reasons I need to act as just a mod for a few days is so I can cut through some of this red tape. Unfortunately, I am sure there are those who will object to this, even though it is in the interest of fairness. So, if there are no objections, I am going to say that in this instance, Feodor can run for more than one position even though he will technically be FA leader.

No objections from this end. It is the best way to be fair to Feodor, since he was already looking at running for two positions. He could never have expected this. Besides, these elections need as many nominees as possible, considering the current circumstances.

I agree with Octavian that there is no way the Judiciary can bend the laws, it is only up to the moderators. I also agree that you should not resign, but authorize Feodor to carry out the rest of the term.

Sadly, we have just one TC left, and I have no time between now and tomorrow to study the situation -- I am moving a half-ton of cabinets into my living room tomorrow morning and leaving town on Saturday for three days. So the FA is going to have to coast through the the weekend anyhow. I hope to be on hand for enough of the TC tomorrow to cast some council votes.
