Small bug, but definitely reproducible:

1. Turn on resource icons while in the game.
2. Save the game and exit Civ 5.
3. Start up Civ 5 again, load your save game.
4. Notice that the resource icons are not displayed, but that the resource icon display checkbox is checked. Bug!

Would think that either the icons should be on or the icon checkbox would be off.

@Bleser I get the same issue. If you uncheck and recheck it, it sorts itself out.

Correct, which is what I usually do.

If it helps any, I usually save/load from local games and not the cloud.

I guess that I want to take issue with checking and unchecking show resource icons fixing the problems... This doesn't appear to always fix the problem. Where this is a REAL problem is later in the game when, for example, you discover uranium and it is within city boundaries where improvements have already been made. The uranium doesn't show underneath timber yards, fields, and trade buildings (????). Where this becomes even worse is when you have research agreements, the agreement reaches fruition, and nuclear fission (if this is the tech that shows uranium....???) is brought in. Where, normally, you are told that a given new resource is within city boundaries, in this case it isn't (another bug????). If the resource icon doesn't appear, it is a REAL bear looking through all your city squares to see if you have a resource.

Any idea of how you can go about getting the icons to appear correctly? Checking and unchecking does NOT always work!!

Thanks.

I have the same problem periodically - only noticed I had coal on a lumbermill tile because it was producing 1 food and 4 hammers.

Switching to strategic view to scout for resources is my current workaround.
