I have no modding experience, so I'm asking this completely uninformed;
because civBE is the same engine as civ 5, do think it might possible to take features from beyond earth (such as spies being able to do more things than steal technology) and apply them to civ5?
It'd be a great way to make the transition to ideologies less sudden and seems like it'd reasonable to expect, considering they're the same engine.

How about, once it comes out, to make BE more CiV-like? With Earth terrain ported over and such? ;)

The engine was improved. I don't think everything could be transferred. And, honestly, I don't see why.

That would probably be easier than the reverse (adding BE features to civ V)
Although that depends on the feature.

I'm sorry. I'm not understanding.

For many features, (say advanced espionage) it might be easier to take BE and change the terrain, tech tree, virtues, civs and units to be like civ 5 rather than

Take Civ5 and add advanced espionage.

It depends on the feature, some can be done in a mod of Civ5... others would have to be mods of CivBE
