Revolutions: distance to capital

Hi guys

I've been playing a new dawn now for a couple of days.

I've started a 2 player campaign together with a friend of mine.

First of all, we looove this mod. It's quite fun. Especially the revolutions add a whole new dynamique to the game.
But we are getting quite frustrated with the distance to capital unrest.
The distance betweeen Illith and Delhi is 7 squares. Yet I still suffer a huge unrest thanks to distance to capital.

Any ways to counter this? (Apart from pumping a zillion longbowman into your town.)
The happiness in Warwick is always +10 or something like that.
