Anyone interested in a Rise and Rule (based on DyP for PTW & Vanilla) PBEM

would like 4 humans 4 AI on a standard size world, typical world settings, blah, blah, blah

most likely will play thi son regent difficulty as I am not experienced with RAR & had limited experience w/ DyP

If you have no idea what the RAR or DyP mod is then check it out.

I'm game if you need another player. PM me for my email.

suprised i got 4 players so quickly, start of game will be delayed a couple of days due to technical difficulties. all players need to download the scenario, there is a link to the RAR thread in first post. After downloading, verify that you can play the mod, i.e, it is installed correctly. this is a very big mod, i have never played it, but have played its vanilla counterpart, DyP, sparingly. the changes are massive, so also please be sure you are willing to cope with learning a whole new game if you have never played it or DyP.

please provide time zones also

You might want to see if you can actually send the scenario files...

it is 100 MB & my email only allows 10 MB attachments, besides i think the install is probably more reliable if it is downloaded, less chance of missing a file

okay, i am ready to go on my end & if i get everyone's info will probably start tonight, instead of playing the mod I'll just learn as we go, part of the fun.

what i need:

timezones from portuga & yamamoto

confirmation from portuga & norlamand that you have downloaded / installed the mod

confirmation from everyone that you have at least started one game to verify it is installed properly and you can play it with no problems

civ choices: i am going random, the civs are different than in conquests and some civs' traits have been changed as well as uu

any settings preferences, i am thinking of everything baseline (standard world, continent, 70% H2O, temperate, normal, 4 billion, roaming barbs) and regent difficulty. default victory conditions (all but wonder), no respawn AI, preserve random seed, AP OFF (sorry will not reconsider), culturally linked starts off, cultural conversions on, cant really think of anything else

I installed the mod and played a few turns without problem.

Me and yamamot are both on the Greenwich Meridian Time (GMT+0)

EDIT: I want to play egypt

Your choice of settings is fine by me.

OK. I am going in the dark because i never tried that game. I am keen to accept a start right now though i wonder if it wasnt better we all have some time to get used to this mod and then we start the game... having like a dead-line to do it... I would say, until next weekend maximum. Nevertheless is up your guys to decide that.

Concerning the time zones and other issues:
I am in GMT hour. I played mostly the times, at 8pm to 11:30 pm.
weekends... free.
I have downloaded the file though i didnt instaled it yet neither tryied it.
I think I ll try it tomorrow.
I go random too.
Any settings are ok, because this mod is really unknown to me.
:)

I'll put it to a vote then, if you guys prefer to have time to play the MOD for a week or two let me know, i can be flexible, I doubt i will have time to play it much, but i'll just pick it up as i go.

I'm flexible either way. I'll play the turn when I get it.

okay, i will start this Sunday, if the turn happens to come to you & you still want another day of playing just ignore it until Monday. turn order will be as follows:

predesad GMT -6 random civ
norlamand GMT -6 random civ
portuga GMT egypt
yamamoto GMT random

let me know if anyone decides on a civ choice instead of random
