Time to play "What's wrong with the picture"!

Here's the screenie. You decide what is terribly wrong with the situation, other than the fact that Rome has already won. By "terribly wrong", I mean that something has happened that normally does not happen in Rise of Rome.

Oh, and if I could find a Rise of Rome thread, I would have posted this there.

Ah... They're all Roman city names, and were founded not conquered?

Do you have hospitals? Gergovia is a Celt-named town. ;)

Take a look at the minimap... ;)

EDIT: Massila is a Celtic city, too. (Marseilles)

All the RoR games I have played have Persia being huge. But that probably isn't it.

You made it to Scotland/England?

That's the other thing I noticed. That doesn't seem too far-fetched, though.

What? the citynames aren't correctliy placed? If that's it, then...who cares really?

Hmmm... Egypt is still alive... that one's kinda odd... is that it?

Persia's not that big... not even bigger then macedonia.... hardly even bigger then the scytians. (or whatever's brown) I still see some goths and two celtic cities... but that's not so unusual is it?

Actually, it is. I was dreading having to race Persia to the Domination limit, like in my previous (lost) game, but this time something happened, and Macedon managed to capture some Persian cities. I have no idea how that came about. It wasn't at the beginning, when Macedon is really strong, either. This was when Persia should be trampling all over Macedon and everyone else. :hmm:

Oh, and I made it to the British Isles because I got two cities there for peace when I fought the Celts once, then I just kept on rushing citzens and temples up there. I wanted to fully populate Ireland, too...

Umm... I just did. It was the thing with Persia getting it's ass kicked.

Go-go Macedon! *Gives himself a cookie*

Very nice Tomoyo. May I ask what level this is at? I am currently playing this scenario (for the third time) and I am about at this same date but am not into Africa quite yet (about to attack Carthage). You have this one sewn up, it looks. Any pointers on your strategy that you wouldn't mind sharing?

This is Emperor. I'm gonna win all the conquests on Emperor before going any higher, although WWII in the Pacific takes way too long... :(

In most of my Rise of Rome games Macedon and Persia are evenly matched, but the Egyptians always get stomped. The real surprise in Tomoyo's screenie is that the Egyptians are still alive.

Don't you win pretty quickly as Japan  , as far as turn #s. It does
take awhile to move all those units though :mischief: .

That's partly due to Persia getting killed. Usually, Persia would walk right over Egypt, but in this game, they were too busy handling Macedonian and (later) Scythian troops to attack Egypt.

That's why I don't like it. I hate modern warfare in all its forms because I hate moving all those units. Besides, why do the Japanese have artillery on random islands that should be in China?

Hadn't Japan occupied most of the Chinese coast by 1941?
