Greetings to all devotees of the RoR! I want to solicit advice and insights about playing as Egypt. I'm attracted to the notion of building a juggernaut capable of dominating the Ancient World the Rome did in reality. Here's my reasoning.
First, Egypt has more Unique Units than any other civ. That has to mean something, right?
Second, being adjacent to Carthage may result in not only obtaining a Victory resource but also Elephants. Imagine augmenting your military with War Elephants!
Third, you may be able to time your attacks on Carthage with Romes' inevitable invasion thus making the effort perhaps a little easier.
I just got finished playing a Settler level game as Egypt and I did capture Greeces' VR, but I ended up making a mistake by declaring war on Rome.
Well, anyone can offer any advice on this Scenario I would appreciate it. I could offer some further strategies, tips and insights as well. I'm still looking for my first victory, though.
