I took a screenshot of the crash I get upon starting the RoM mod that you can see below. BTS works fine on its own. The crash happens upon choosing the RoM mod. It wont even load, after the window closing upon selecting the mod there will be about 20 seconds of waiting and then the crash screen will pop up.

I tried playing in a VM using windows XP and everything works fine there. However the game plays much more slowly due to the VM using up a lot of my resources (I have a 8600gt, 4GB RAM, 2.2ghz cpu) I want to be able to play on my Win7 machine but its not working out. I tried running it as administrator. I have reinstalled EVERYTHING twice. I even tried copying the files that I know work on my VM over to my Windows 7 folders. Nothing helps.

A few things that could be going wrong there.
1. Is your Win7 a 32 bit or 64 bit?
1a. If it's 32 bit then search for the memory allocation fix from 2g to 3g (4g on 7)
1b. If it's 64 bit
b1. press ctrl+alt+delete go to the Processes tab
b2. open Civ4 RoM
b3. Look for the Civ4 listed on the processes tab, right click -> Set priority -> above normal.

That usually fixed the problem for me, be careful when setting it at high or realtime so your computer won't overheat and auto-shut down.

Thanks for the reply!

It's 32 bit.

I'm sorry, but what is a memory allocation fix (2G to 3G)? I did a search 2G to 3G fix but came up empty.

Thanks again! I hope this works out because RoM is awesome!

I think I know whats wrong! BST isnt patching to 3.19! But on XP it does! What gives? I cant chose the folder to patch to, it automatically does the patching... Is there any tut on how to patch BST on Win 7 correctly? (what folder with what files and where to get them?)

I had the same problem in windows 7.

i Solved it by patching Civ BtS to the l8est update ;=) a easy fix.
Tho loading the mod still take about 30-45 sec.
