for the fact I have no detail. I have the video definition on high and I run a P4 3.0, 1 GB ram, XP Pro SP2, a ATI 9800Pro (128 Mb) and never had a problem loading or running except it has no detail. For instances my guys look like clay figures and the terrain looks bland plus I can't see roads after I build them. It's like my video definition is on minimum as opposed to max or high. Like I said, I have never had any problems loading or running since I bought it but any suggestions on this? I don't see anyone else describing this problem. Should I just reload the game?

I cant say for sure but by the description it sounds like your mipmap is set way too low. Just guessing though. Installing the latest ATI drivers may reset it.

Thaks, I'll give it a try. Should I install the 5.1 Catalyst? Is that what's called the latest drivers? Sorry for my ignorance...

Not sure what 5.1 Catalyst is however I do not think it relates to your video drivers.

Go to tech support on the website for the manufacturer of your video card. Look for the drivers for your model and download them. The download may (or may not) install the drivers for you. Someone with better expertise than I can help you if they do not install.

Oh, it does verily - "Catalyst" is what ATI call their video drivers. Catalyst 5.10 is the newest release. (NB: 5.10 is the next release after 5.9; treat that dot as a seperator, not a decimal point)

I doubt that many makers of Radeon 9800's still put up new drivers for download, so getting them directly from ATI is the way to go...
