On my new computer, I cannot get CIV1 started. It aborts with runtime error R6003 (divide by zero). Who knows a solution?

Cannot use that, because in DosBox the graphics card works awfully slow. Looks like these days there are only a few graphics cards still available that work well with civ1, and obviously in Real MS-DOS only, without any Windows.

Are you sure it's the graphics card? There's a bug with Windows and Soundblaster that causes the game to run in slowmotion. Using PC Sounds rectifies this.

I get the same error when I try to run from DOS mode in Windows 98 on my craptop. Currently trying to see if I can dual boot MS-DOS 6.22 and Windows 98, and hopefully it will work just fine under DOS for me. Windows 98 just isn't cutting it. It works alright in Windows 98 itself, but a little slower than I would like. And this whole laptop is being modelled with Civilization 1 in mind!
