Update: It looks like it will be sent tommorow at the earliest. Sorry about the delay LochNor, but RL circumstances out of my control have gotten the best of me. I hope to definately play tommorow around 7:30 GMT and send it off.

First Turn Played!

West Rome:
Killed a Frank Raider. Legonary 3/4. First blood is mine!

Other than that lots of shifting.


East Rome:
Moving People around.


The entire Roman empire is only interested in peaceful coexistance with the barbarious rabble in the killing fields- I mean North.

Rome also extends a hand of friendship to the once mighty Persians. Please aid us against the world's barbarians!

Any news LochNorFarm? Just played all my PBEM turns and didn't get this one from you. Have you not played it yet?

Sorry Nive! Just finished it. Was a little busy last night and today but I'm catching up.

Meanwhile the barbarians begin their quest to polish off this old, decrepit Roman empire! Mostly just city planning in this turn except for my usual strategy of sending my Sass horseman into Nisibus to try and get a cheap city quickly... and I got my usual result of pathetic failure. Rats. Why do I even try? Has anyone actually managed to pull that one off successfully yet? But we can only go uphill from there!

In my game as the Barbarians, I'll take the city on turn 2. I have the save now, but it'll be a couple hours til I play. Should get it off tonight though!

GPS No attacks on my part this turn, just our usual strategy of fleeing in the face of danger.

Hmm... I think some Dromons would quell the sea nicely! Have the game, will update with a playreport when I have time to play it!

Western Rome:
Moving Galley into position to stop the Celt boat from bringing troops to England.
Spotted a Frank city, will be destroyed next turn!

Eastern Rome:
Much movement. I'll probably lose a Legonary next turn to an Immortal, but I'll kill the immortal in a counterattack, and possibly take and destroy a city!

Of course, since I am atheist, I would still hold you responsible. I'll play the turn when I'm at home; right now I'm at a computer in one of the school's libraries. Much death and destruction should begin next turn!

Western Rome: We would like to offer a permenant cease-fire with the barbari- notherners and give them some . Can't we all be friends!

Eastern Rome: Killed a spear at Arbela. I'm surprised your immortals didn't stay... Are they questioning their immortality?

Western Rome: Research- (forgot to look )
I'm moving my troops into position to wipe out the barbarians in one quick swoop, or so I hope!
Should be able to kick barbs out of england in 5 turns or so!

Eastern Rome: Research- Bysantine Ingenuity (6 turns at 50% (Will lower after this tech, I want the dromons!))

Sneak attacking Sassands from the desert soon, they shouldn't suspect a thing, they have also been moving their troops to the north to counter that (fake) invasion.

My immortals? They didn't stay?!? Those cowardly bastards disobeyed orders! I told them to attack, I swear! That's it, they're getting a whuppin' from me next turn.

And no cease-fires! Our barbs will accept nothing but unconditional surrender. Though, they'll probably be performing unconditional surrender soon with that galley coming toward Ireland. GPS

Galley has you worried eh? Well it should, it has another 2 on the way each filled with legonaries!

Dropped off legons, attacked cute little barbarian boat. Turns out there barbarians on cute little boat. Our people died of shock! (4/4 Galley v 3/3 Curragh = 0/4 Galley + 2/4 Curragh)

Legion killed near Arbella. Otherwise just moving around. And that horse was just scouting around for any red-caped fools who might be so drunk on their own misguided sense of self-importance that they'll make the fatal error of venturing into Sassanid lands!
