Scenario failure

Hi all. I am a newcomer and found you while looking for information on Civ III. I have a little problem and do not know why it is occuring or how to fix it. I was into the scenarios and was playing Ancient World, and after being into it for a little while, a sign came up that said "fine not found", then it would close. Is there something wrong with my game or is this a quirk that happens with some of the scenarios? Either way, is there any way that I can fix this? All help would be appreciated. Thanks, Hank.

Welcome to Civfanic's forums Hank! I'm sure it said "file" not found and yes it happens. You need to tell us what it says after that and which version you are using (vanilla, PTW, or Conquests) and the # on the title screen. I play Conquests patched to 1.22 for example.

The scenario name is important as well as it may require Conquest files. If it is a scenario that is designed for youre version (C3/PTW/C3C), then the file that is missing is probably misspelled.

Often the scenario is in the Creation forum and you can find the error and the correction. It may be as simple as copy a file and rename it.
