ok so i just jumped into map making today and i've made one i really want to play.

Problem is i don't know a thing other then common sense and assumptions when it comes to using the world builder

so i have the mape, rivers, resorces ect...

but do i have to use the "scenario editor" option in WB to make it playable? or can i just use the map file and start a game like normal??

thanks guys,

You don't give enough informations on what is your problem exactly.

I can simply answer yes to your second question, but I'm not sure it will be really useful to you, as you must already have tried it since your first post.

no that was all i need honestly. My map wasn't showing as an option to play, and i tried both reg. and mod single player. but thanks to this i just did a fresh install and problem solved!

now another problem i've encountered with my world builder is that i can't select any map generation scripts, so i have to start from scratch 100% ocean every time. nor can i find where any of the scripts are located to.. welll.. check if there any there! :crazyeye:

thank you gedemon, sorry if i came off harsh. i was rather frustrated that nothing was working for no apparent reason after i poured so much time into it.

look for your steam installation folder, then
"\steamapps\common\sid meier's civilization v\Assets\Maps"

any civ5 modder can understand that :D

Defiantly have map files and LUA files in there, and the game itself has no problem generating maps but world builder is coming up empty... and i've re-downloaded the SDK a number of times by now lol.....

Yep files are there for sure, but no luck getting them to appear with in worldbuilder :S
i've downloaded the SDK numerous times.... with the same result each time

woot!!! i got it to work!!!

and the sad thing, i had to "pirate" the sdk and it worked first time no problem lol!!!

thanks for your input and help again, Gedemon.
