Scenario vicotry conditions not showing

OK, I am playing the "Fall Of Rome" scenario and the V button at the bottom right hand corner of the box is not showing. This is very inconvenient for me as I would pretty much like to see my progress.

Will this button come up later in the game? I am playing the Steam version of the game by the way. What must I do for this V button to come up? Only the D and I button are showing currently.

Not sure about the little V button, but you can try the F-keys instead. F7 or F8 or something.
