Same old, same old.

You know how it works.

50/50 = 5 turns and 331 gold
60/40 = 4 turns and 249 gold
70/30 = 4 turns and 176 gold
80/20 = 3 turns and 102 gold

What does everyone think?

I say 60/40. Almost 150 gold per turn is worth 1 extra turn of research per tech.

I'm Ok with 60/40.

We just need to realize that tech will be as slow as we make it. There aren't that many techs out there to steal (just Genetic Engineering), so what we put into it is what we get.

We also have 1500+ cash right now.

I agree with 60/40. As soon as we are finished with banks and freights in our main cities we might want to build some universities to boost science further.

If we have that much cash spare, then we can carry out some more bribing. Especially against the Chinese as they don't have a capital and possibly against the English because their cities seem cheap to bribe.

I must say, the lovely cash buildup has been wonderful to have. We've been able to rush things all over the place, and the bribing has made things quite easy in some places.

I'd like to keep up the 60/40 as well. Aside from bribing, now we can try to rush some sewer systems/aqueducts in our cities. Mabye in a few turns we can do some serious celebrating and grow like mad.

We can also start more factory rushing as well as eventually offshore platforms. With such great production, rushing won't be as huge an issue and we can concentrate on pushing the science envelope.

I should have also mentioned that we DO have 9 entertainers that have been necessary in the empire. I still think that's not enough to require a boost in luxuries, but if someone else differs, I'd be happy to visit that discussion.

Welcome back Duck! :D
I agree that sticking to the 60/40 choice seems the best for the moment - especially as we can just start to buy up any irritating cities around the world. We are miles ahead of the others in tech and they will find things much more difficult to research if they are all reduced to one city! :nya2:
