Script for tracking music?

Is there any way, perhaps a script I can run, that will tell me the path of the song the game is currently playing as background music? There's a song that I REALLY like that I'd love to add to my music collection, but I've scanned through the soundtrack folders for Fall From Heaven II, Beyond the Sword, Warlords, and vanilla Civ 4 - three times! - and I can't find it :( It's gotta be in there, but there's hours of music to look through...

Can't help you script-wise, but any details on the song? Vocals, instrumentation, mood, themes etc? Do you think it is a FFH-st-song?

Maybe you have a look at the file CIV4EraInfos.xml in the Sid Meier's Civilization 4 Complete\Beyond the Sword\Mods\Fall from Heaven 2\Assets\XML\Gameinfo folder. There's a list of the soundtracks sorted by certain conditions. You can also check if you forgot a certain folder. I had a similar problem and found the sound track this way.

When the song is played, you could try looking for recently accessed files from the Civ directory. Assuming you're in Windows:

Go to the Civ folder, search for *.mp3 files. May take a little while, but you could do this before starting to play.
After the search is finished, you have a list of all mp3 files (which should include the soundtrack files) from the Civ folder. In Windows Explorer you can right-click on the table header and add the column 'Date Accessed' (you might need to look under 'More...').
Now go play the game, and when the soundtrack you're looking for comes up, try hitting F5 and sorting the search results by the 'Date Accessed' column. The one you're looking for should be close to the top, accessed just minutes ago.

Thanks Arkhan, I'll check that out.

It's a song that I've heard as both Hippus and Bannor, no special conditions as far as I can tell. It's got a slow and steady drum, featuring a french horn to start and a harp as it picks up.

Thanks Thrar, that worked on Vista just fine.

Civilization 4\Warlords\Assets\Sounds\Soundtrack\ConquestsRoman.mp3

2 minutes into it is the part where I always have to stop playing and listen :)
