[SDK] Promotion Obsolete Tech

I'm looking to integrate a obsolete check for promotions like other things (eg buildings).

I know this is a feature of ROM-AKD and I took a look at Afforess' code and man does he have a lot of stuff going on there. Does anyone have this in a simpler form by chance?

Adding an array XML tag to a InfoBase will be relatively complex. Your best bet would be to just clone what Afforess coded, he's usually pretty good about his comments, at least he is for everything he adds to RevDCM. If you have any specific issues please feel free to ask, this would be something I could easily help with, but I think you should be fine just cloning the existing code in RoM: AND's source.

I did take a quick look at it and he is a great coder. He has so much stuff changed from Vanilla that separating out the small section with the promotion obsolete tech changes I need without messing something else up isn't a trivial task for me anyway, I was hoping someone had done it already in their mod or something without the whole mess of changes that is AND.

Well adding a new tag is pretty easy. Like I say, I'd just clone the code in this instance. Actually I'd probably clone the code for building obsolescence, and then tailor it for the promotions, but that in effect is the same thing.
