Sultan Bhargash
Trickster Reincarnated
My biggest complaint with corruption, which I usually don't complain about at all, is how it mucks up the archipelago, small landmass, big world maps that I am currently trying to win as England on regent. I have tried this before with England (the civ with the best straight shot to mapmaking).
The problems I encounter include: 1. juggling seafaring vessels and overseas bound settlers/defenders with the production of the usual improvements in my core island plus military (I had a lively and unusually early war for me, archers and swordsmen taking out france to the north and capturing Paris with it's improbable Great Lighthouse, Oracle, Colossus set up).
2. overseas production is limited by corruption and waste and somehow the AI gets past this with multi ships, etc.
Palace hopping isn't much of an option on a jungle island world.
Anybody else wish the game was more enjoyable as seafaring strategy (it is currently rather golden horde horseman oriented IMO)? Any tips for how to build an archipelagic empire?
